Our mountain is famous for the “Pelion wild greens” used massively to the local cuisine

The wild green named “Prasoulithra” is a kind of wild leek. It grows in the fields during Spring time. Locals collect it fresh and use it for cooking. Also is good and more mild in taste than fresh garlic or spring onions. Most favorite recipe is prasoulithres sauté with eggs in a fried pan. Also we can find it in pies along with other Pelion wild greens. Fresh we find it decorating tomato or Greek salad.
